■Remixes that push the “BATTLE GAREGGA” soundtrack even further into the realm of club music.■
“BATTLE GAREGGA” is a vertical-scrolling arcade shooter released by 8ing, Inc.
Even now, 30 years after its 1996 release, it remains a legendary title beloved by passionate fans.
The music for this game was composed by Manabu Namiki.
Filled with love and respect for dance music—particularly Detroit techno—this soundtrack had a profound influence on the video game music scene of that era.
The remixers for this project include “composers” who were creating “game × dance music” during the same era as BATTLE GAREGGA; “DJs and trackmakers” who have been active in the club scene since the 1990s; “gamers” influenced by BATTLE GAREGGA’s music; and “artists” currently active in the production of “game × dance music.”
By bringing them all together, we’ve created a lineup that “reconstructs” and “expands” the music from multiple perspectives.
Remixers: HIROSHI WATANABE, Q'HEY, TAKAMI, Shinji Hosoe, Kenichiro Fukui, Ryu☆, Hommarju, loopdrive, REV-TUNE, Atsushi Ohara
